Which platform

WooCommerce, Shopify or custom: the right base for your store

Most small and mid-sized Indian brands are best served by one of two platforms. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, has no platform fee and can do almost anything, which suits stores with custom pricing, B2B orders or content-heavy sites. Shopify is faster to launch and handles hosting and security, which suits D2C brands that want to start selling quickly; see my Shopify development page for that route.

Either way, the store is planned around your catalogue, your delivery areas and how your customers like to pay. It’s part of my website design services in Delhi, so design, speed and SEO are handled together.

  • WooCommerce development with a custom, fast theme
  • Marketplace and WhatsApp orders moved to your own store

Payments & delivery

Checkout that matches how India pays

UPI handled 25.47 billion payments in October 2026 alone, and many first-time buyers still want cash on delivery. A store that makes either one awkward loses sales. In Baymard Institute’s research, the biggest reasons ready buyers abandon a cart are extra costs shown too late (40%), slow delivery (20%) and not trusting the site with payment details (19%).

So the checkout shows delivery charges and dates early, offers UPI and COD clearly, keeps forms short and puts trust signals next to the pay button.

FAQ

E-commerce websites: frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Call +91 93545 74690, message me on WhatsApp or email aniketranks@gmail.com.

How much does an e-commerce website cost in Delhi?

An online store with me starts at ₹30,000 plus GST for up to 50 products with payments, shipping, GST and tracking. Larger catalogues and custom features are quoted after a call. Gateway, courier and hosting fees are paid separately.

Which payment gateways do you set up?

Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, PhonePe and other Indian gateways, for UPI, cards, net banking and wallets, plus cash on delivery.

Can my store send WhatsApp order updates?

Yes. Order, dispatch and delivery updates can go out on WhatsApp through the official Business Platform, along with abandoned-cart reminders.

I sell on Amazon and Flipkart. Do I need my own store?

Your own store gives you better margins, your customers’ details and a brand people search for by name. Many brands keep marketplaces for reach and use their own store for repeat customers.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Usually four to eight weeks, depending on how many products you have and whether product photos and descriptions are ready.

Will you help get traffic after launch?

Yes. My e-commerce SEO services and Google Ads management bring shoppers in once the store is live.
